About the Founder
Ananda Charitable Trust was founded by Kommu Ananda Kumar, who was born in a remote village in southern India, Andhra Pradesh. Ananda grew up in a financially struggling household, facing numerous economic hardships and health challenges.
From a young age, Ananda witnessed the suffering of people around him, inspiring a deep desire to help those in need. However, due to financial and physical limitations, he found himself unable to take action. As a teenager, he worked in various jobs, yet none provided him with a sense of fulfillment or stability. Overwhelmed by failures and family struggles, he remained determined.
He chose to dedicate his life to charity, using his own small income to support those in need. Over time, God multiplied his efforts, allowing him to make a significant impact. After six years of dedicated service, he formally registered his charity as a government-recognized, non-profit organization.
Community Programs and Impact
In recent years, Ananda Charitable Trust has initiated several programs aimed at uplifting communities and supporting the underprivileged across Andhra Pradesh. Some of its key initiatives include:
- Children’s Home – Providing shelter, education, and care for orphaned and underprivileged children.
- Widows’ Care Program – Offering financial support to over 200 widows every month, ensuring their basic needs are met.
- Women Empowerment Program – Equipping women with valuable skills through sewing machine training and computer education, enabling them to achieve financial independence.
- Borewell Projects – Installing borewells in water-scarce areas to provide clean drinking water to underserved communities.
- Medical Camps – Organizing free health check-ups and medical aid for those who lack access to healthcare services.
- Disaster Relief Program – Assisting communities affected by natural calamities such as floods, hurricanes, and viral outbreaks by providing food, shelter, and essential supplies.
Through faith, perseverance, and unwavering dedication, Ananda has transformed his early struggles into a mission of hope and service. His journey is a testament to the power of God’s calling and the impact of selfless service on countless lives.
